Privacy policy
Updated: 2026-10-07
1. Scope
This policy covers this website and the Reelfold open-source software (the desktop app and the video-studio skill). Reelfold is free and open source under the MIT licence, maintained by [maintainer / operating entity, to be filled in]. Contact: hello@example.com.
2. Visiting this website
- This is a static site. It sets no cookies, loads no analytics or ad scripts, loads no third-party fonts and has no forms.
- The hosting provider (Cloudflare) may keep access logs, such as IP address and browser details, under its own policy. We do not use those logs to identify people.
3. Desktop app and open-source skill
- The software runs on your own computer. Video and audio files stay there by default; transcription and rendering run locally. We run no server that receives your footage.
- To pick segments, write titles and proofread captions, transcript text, a few keyframe screenshots and titles are sent to the AI service you configure (your Claude Code or Codex subscription, your API keys, or a local model). AI voiceover or AI video generation sends text and reference images to that vendor. That is governed by your terms with the vendor.
- The MediaPipe component used by the engine may send anonymous usage statistics to Google; the app explains this and how to turn it off.
- When it checks for updates, the app contacts the release page on GitHub.
4. Contacting us and GitHub
Emails you send us are used only to reply to you. Anything you post in GitHub Discussions or Issues is public and handled under GitHub’s terms; please don’t post private footage or keys there.
5. Your rights
You can ask to see or delete personal data in emails you sent us. Email hello@example.com; we act within 7 days and confirm by reply.
6. Changes
We update the date on this page when the policy changes.
